Tuxcueca on Lake Chapala

Today we went berry buying and sightseeing in Tuxcueca a small town on the banks of Lake Chapala.

The berries were sold in roadside stands and seeing as there were 11 of us we decided to split our purchases between all of the stands to be fair to the vendors.

We bought 3 litres of berries, 1 l each of strawberries, blackberries and raspberries at a cost of 50 pesos or $4.80  YUMMY!

Then we drove into the town of Tuxcueca and drove through narrow cobblestone roads until we got to the old church and malecon at Lake Chapala.

how the church looked many years ago!

a seed pod from the tree beside the church

this tree must be hundreds of years old

Every Mexican town has lots of animals, this town had goats and roosters...

(Nancy, did you notice that we had to take lots of pictures 'cuz you weren't here)
